In the 360 Reviews vertical of USN&WR, I managed a team of editors focused on Home Services content, spanning the categories of home security, home warranty, internet service providers, cell phone plans, moving companies, medical alert systems, HVAC, solar, hearing aids, and senior services. I assigned and edited content myself in addition to providing feedback and coaching for my team. I also became the beat editor for the solar category.

At the time, this agency was a BBDO company and part of the Proximity Network. I concepted and executed high-level ideas for projects across ExxonMobil lines of business; wrote copy and collaborated with designers to meet clients' needs; and presented concepts, processed feedback, and polished deliverables across web and print media.

Cleveland Play House

2016 – 2017: Marketing Apprenticeship

Cleveland Play House is America's first professional regional theatre and recipient of the 2015 Regional Theatre Tony Award.

CPH's Apprenticeship Program is a nine-month training program for young professionals that immerses recently graduated college and post-grad students in an intensive experience with a top-tier American theatre. Apprentices work with individual departments and top professionals in the field to gain practical experiences and skills working in a regional theatre.

I wrote copy, proofed print and digital materials, implemented marketing plans, posted listings, distributed collateral, took photos, updated the website, created ad schedules, organized the budget spreadsheet, and tracked analytics.

Creative Spot

2015: Copywriting Internship

This semester-long internship was part of the Minor in Professional Writing at OSU. I wrote copy for ten clients in over ten forms, including newsletters, postcards, sales flyers, press releases, direct mail, radio spots, blog posts, tweets, Facebook content, and letters. I ensured copy was clear, concise, informative, and free of grammatical errors. I also adhered to each client’s usual style and used an appropriate tone for their audience.

Check out the samples below and to the right to see different styles and tones for yourself.
